Hi all.... does anyone have any recommendeations (or the opposite!) of where I might look for an insurance for loss of earnings due to ill-health?

I'm not expecting to need it, obviously :)

Hi Simon

I use http://www.securehealth.co.uk/ - their rate appears competitive

Thanks Nigel - but they look like treatment options rather than loss of earing cover: have I just missed the right part of the website?

Hi Simon

I have sent you a private message about promoting open courses. Did you find a good "sickness insurer" - I do have cover - I find it difficult to remember all the policies I have - you have prompted me to review it.

I've not found a decent (ie: cost effective) insurer. However, I've found a solution by doing two things.

One - assuming I'm never going to be ill! and
Two - making an agreement with my old boss that he can cover my courses if I'm ill.

It's possible that the latter wouldn't work if he's busy, for example (and he can't cover the public presentation skills training courses in any case) but the odds are sufficiently in my favour to risk it. A lot of what I do he taught me in any case. :)
