Hi, I’m Lee Lam and I am a Professional Life Coach. I have my own coaching practice, Lee Lam Coaching which was established in 2004.

Why do I love coaching so much? Well, I find it fascinating that people are coming to realise that the quest for material wealth and social recognition is not actually making them happy at all – instead it tends to bring its own set of problems. Clients I have worked with all have one thing in common – they are fed up with their life as it is now and they are ready to make a change. I am so privileged to be in their lives at this time, as they really review their life and what it means to them. To see the transformation in their spirits as they start to understand what they are capable of is absolutely mind-blowing. I have worked with some fundamentally awe-inspiring people, who have had the courage to work towards their dreams and I consider it my honour to be involved in that process.

I know coaching works. Because of this, I enthuse my clients with the same belief – if it is successful, my job is made all the more easier as they get carried away on their own momentum. If needed, I will challenge their assumptions and limitations; otherwise I just give them the space they need to start moving.

My history is varied, to say the least. I graduated in 1994 with a Joint Honours in Law and American Studies. Having decided that a law career would not suit me, I applied for graduate jobs within IT and was taken on by a major bank, knowing practically nothing about technology, apart from the on switch on a computer! Thankfully, I learnt quickly and was soon supporting the trading floor in London. After a brief spell in a fund management company, I moved to another investment bank where I was promoted to service manager and worked the usual 16 hour days, as does everyone in that industry. I realised after a few years that I wanted to work with people, not computers and so I embarked on my training course for coaching – and instantly fell in love with it! I now use my experience in other industries to better understand my clients, which I think they appreciate! I am also living proof that you are never too old to change careers!

As you can hopefully tell, I love my life. I have an amazing loving family, a fantastic group of friends, a job that I love and pastimes that certainly keep me busy! The main thing for me is the ability to retain my humour – and to show people how to rediscover theirs.

We all have so much to offer this world – I have made it my job to help as many people as I can so they can make their own contribution.

If any of this rings true for you and you want to find out more, please do not hesitate to contact me for a chat on 01689 877788 or email me on lee@leelamcoaching.com!

To Blog or Not To Blog ....

I see so many blogs being written but this is my first attempt at writing my own. This is mainly down to the fact that I still struggle with the idea behind blogs - what are they? What do you hope to achieve? Is it to have a place to vent your feelings and frustrations or somewhere to be sensible, controlled, professional?

I've read a number of blogs to try and work this out - and my results are somewhat inconclusive. So, seeing as it is an instrument that can be used any way you like,

Do you know that you can give a convincing value (same as if you sign a document in front of a notary) from all computer (even not yours), without having to download a digital certificate, as well as from mobile phones and PDA with Window Mobile or Symbian (Nokia)?
