I guess I'm a little off piste compared to most psychologists, executive coaches or mentors. This autumn will see me on the TV again (this time working with Jack Osbourne on his latest adventures); you then might see me pop up on a BBC show showing youngsters how to motivate their fat families; before that I might have been spotted on channel 4's 'Fit-Farm' as the resident life-coach or demonstrating how to get fit and healthy on Sky's Discovery Channel. All of which is great fun and gives me lots to talk about when speaking professionally but isn't really what I do! I've actually been consulting and coaching now for twelve years and before that for seventeen years was a kind of 'head man of the village' (as a manager of large international hotels).
Most of the work I do to keep bread on the table is in the corporate environment; either acting as an executive coach and mentor or heading up interventions (to either turn-around an individual or group, or step up the pace of change and /or flexibility in a workplace). I do however also see individual clients in a behavioural change clinic on most Mondays and Fridays. You may also come across me working with Jason Vale (best selling author and known internationally as the ‘juicemaster’) on his detox retreats in Turkey.
I’ve written a number of books; most of which I haven’t had the nerve to publish. There is one however with a publishing house at the moment that I hope will see its way onto the bargain shelves of some discount bookstore (on it’s umpteenth reprint obviously).
If you spot anything in here that can be of help to you (either professionally or personally) then please get in touch.
Hi Martin - apologies for not getting through to you when I promised weeks ago...life took me over for a while!! and then I climbed a mountain (4200metres!!) for The Princes Trust Charity ... meanwhile I have been busy exploring the TV ideas I mentioned to you...would love to connect with you and also with Alix ...and share what I have discovered..maybe we can chat/meet sometime...what is you email address so I can send my CV and ideas overview? cheers Pauline
Hi Martin, I am putting up my working methodology 2morrow morning and I was just writing to tell you about this and hope that you get to have a look and maybe give me a comment or maybe you are interested in my training. Hope you are well and things are moving smoothly along. Lv Alix
I picked up this from the eurocoach list and as it's been designed to be given exposure am sure there will be no objection to me also posting it here for anyone who might be interested. It's a request for people to come forward who are interested in a career in TV. Incidentally, the programme I've just been working on (Jack Osbourne's Adrenaline Junkie 3) has a fabulous series producer; this guy is in his late thirties (which is not remarkable for such a role), what is pretty astounding though is that he didn't start working in TV until he was thirty. So those who may be thinking it's too late to start a new career - think again! here's the posting:

Hi Pauline - call me by all means - best to try the mobile first. I'm with clients from 8am to 4pm tomorrow but you can catch me on the way to the gym after that or in the evening. Friday I'm pretty much tied up all morning but am due to be in the office during the afternoon. If you ping me over by email your CV and TV ideas I'll be in a better position to make possible suggestions.
Hi Martin
What a great attitude...and smile! I agree, it's about giving and attracting because you are being genuine isn't it! I live my life like that and when you flow, then amazing people turn up!
I am keen to launch in TV/media presence on the issues of creating a better behaved world around us! I am sick and tired of the moans ands groan, the stress and ill-health we allow here in the UK..having been in the behavioural wellness arena over the last 6 years, I have got to know many of the ins and outs, the politics of stress and wellness and the societal unhappiness we are all responsibile for!
There I go on and on again on my 'platform'...however there is much to tell. I wondered if you can give words of wisdom and/or connectiosn to make this happen. I am networking into some TV links just now and have put my trust in the universe to open up the the best path for me! It would great to chat over this if you've time? May i call you??

In answer to your questions; Firstly, contacts have appeared for me (often out of the blue) when I've been living life 'on purpose' and have been willing to (happily and honestly) give before expecting to receive anything. For example, I met one of the producers I'm working with now when he was seeking advice about another matter almost two years ago. I kept in touch and continued to try and offer ideas etc that met his needs. I genuinely believe in having an attitude of gratitude (however trite that may sound) and believe in the concept of abundance - but I guess that's easy to say when you've been as lucky as me! In answer to your second question; I keep moving! That's because I know that nothing ever lasts (it's always evolving and changing) and so I'd better be balanced on that ball (or I'll fall off)! LOL
The truth is that it all sounds much grander than the reality. I'm just like everyone else - always looking for an opportunity and wanting to learn. A full diary is is only comforting as long as it remains that way so in answer to your last question I would like to make contact with people who I can help and who might be able to connect me with those who can best make use of what I do.
You sound like an absolutely amazing guy who has achieved an enormous amount. How have you made the contacts that have given you these opportunities and how have you found the time to do everything?
