There's an idea, Harry. I had another look at your site and it looks very interesting - in particular your Proj. Mgt. offer. I have thought, as mentioned, to organise a distribution of my Proj. Mgt. simulation, which still has success as a piece of blended learning in 4 Eur. languages. Why present it as an addition to course material at a reasonable rate? As I spend most of my time researching and writing - both professional stuff and about my passion of History - it shouldn't be too difficult to write an article. Is there an area that would grab your readers interest in particular? I don't want to do a "me also know" piece. There must be value for the readers. Virtual Teams? Agile Project Management? People, not tech. focus? Experience-history? If you can direct me, I'd be happy to try. You are always welcome to discard if others have said it better!
best regards
Jorgen
Hi Harry - at this rate of communication we'll be older (and greyer, if that's a word) when we reach the 'Best Regards' line ;-).
I have given up using this site and dropped doing training myself - despite what I said to you in Feb. My strength is to produce PC-based behavioural or scenario-based simulations, so that's the focus. I am working with a college in Vancouver, where they want to teach immigrants about Canadian culture. Now we also seem to have caught the interest of a dentist college and a law-school. The idea of giving away the simulation generator or my Project Management simulation (which defined virtual teams and even approached agile programming before people could spell these words) was a well intended try - but no takers. "If it is for free, it's not worth anything". So, I am concentrating on overseas, as the UK fell asleep a long time ago and the only msgs I get on HRD cafe are from bimbo girls with something to show me. Hmm - perhaps 30 years ago ;-)
Best regards
Jorgen
As good a reason as any, Harry!! Stick a photo and a description of yourself on - networking is the key and who knows? I think the HRD cafe could work. The idea is fine - but a lot of people seem to post their interests in the expectation of passive marketing, i.e. someone will call them and offer them a contract. In order to benefit, we have to work hard and expect nothing in return - not exactly what consultants do normally ;-) Most discussions seem to fizzle out in the sand. Nevertheless I am toying with the idea of making both my tried and tested Team/Project-simulation and the authoring system (Simulation Generator) available to everyone for nothing (OK - a smal % when used!)- call it viral marketing - but I am just afraid it will generate nothing but a LOT of work for me with no benefit. That's why I'm a little quiet on this site, concentrating on my own distributor network in Canada, F, DK, D, E and F - - I'll have a look at your site though!
Best regards
Jorgen
