Hello Jorgen,

Understand what you're saying about the site, but I'll persevere for a bit longer. I didn't really say much about myself last time but I'm director of ITOL (Institute of Training & Occupational Learning) check out the web site www,itol.org we publish a Magazine called training&learning, why not write an article about your simulations - you never know who might read it.

Bye for now

Hello Jorgen,

Nice to hear from you, I was telling Sally Marshall yesterday that i'm a bit of a techno dinosaur but I know I should be using these networks, this is me dipping my toe in the water. I'm Director of the Institute of Training & Occupational Learning so I wanted to be involved in a group that was interested in people development which is why I joined HRD Cafe, to find out more of what i'm about you might like to check out ITOL's web site www.itol.org

Bye for now

Hi Jorgen,

Unfortunately not too many Consultants do admit to it which can make finding new clients very difficult!

Best wishes

Hi Michael
I think you intended the msg below for Angela. It turned up at my site - I find Ning a little funny and cumbersome too, but with practice it may work ;-)
Apart from that I agree that Linkedin is worth while.

Thanks for leaving me a message Jorgen. What you have said to Dawn is getting close to what I am talking about in my project which I am launching on this site next Monday. Thanks again. Lv Alix

It's pathetically simple, Dawn: imagine writing a book on Teams, Projects or Leadership. Many academics have done so. (Katzenbach, Kouzes & Posner, Bennis). Now change the text into a series of real-life events (scenarios) with a choice of 5-6 outcomes and follow up with new events depending on which one you choose. Then score the decision with narrative feedback and a Balanced Scorecard. Now surround all this with presentations and workshops (or leave it as it is) - and you have the most engaging training seminar (e-Learning) imaginable. Hmmm - perhaps pathetically was the wrong word :-)) - - seriously, a Dutch consultant and I wrote a simulation on "what does it mean to work for our company" , used for graduate intake, and I wrote a major Effective Teams simulation, in use in 4 languages. Fascinating.
